[mythtv-users] Cannot autoplay DVDs or CDs in 0.25 rc (Ubuntu 11.10)

I am running v0.25-rc-94-g9e53c8d on Ubuntu 11.10 and I cannot get DVDs
and CDs to autoplay.
If I insert a DVD or a CD they will not play automatically. However,
once the disk is in I can go to Optical Disks/Play Optical Disk or Media
Library/Listen To Music/Quick Play List/From CD and play the Movie/Music.
In Setup/General/Media Monitor I have 'Monitor CD/DVD (and other
removable devices) selected.
In Setup/Media Settings/Video Settings/General Settings I have 'On DVD
insertion' set to "Display MythDVD Menu".
In Setup/Media Settings/Video Settings/Player Settings I have 'DVD
Drive' set to "/dev/dvd".
In Setup/Media Settings/Music Settings/General Settings I have 'CD
device' set to "/dev/cdrom".
In Ubuntu under System Settings/Removable Media I have set 'Never prompt
or start programs on media insertion'.
I ran the FE by hand with a little extra logging. For the DVD I got
this (the DVD was inserted at 22:35:12):
