In mythfrontend settings, under Utilities/Setup|Setup|TV Settings|OSD
Settings
Always use browse mode in Live TV
If enabled, browse mode will automatically be activated whenever you use
channel up/down while watching Live TV.
and then each time you press up or down, you can wait 1-15s (likely
around 4-6s with PVR-350) to see what's on the next channel.
Please let me know if this actually works out for you. I was
considering proposing we remove that setting and make it always just use
browse mode, since I can't imagine anyone actually preferring an
extremely-slow channel surfing process over just browsing through what's
on, then hitting SELECT if the title/subtitle/description sounds
interesting.
Note, also, you can type in a channel number directly and it will change
to the new channel without hitting SELECT. There's also the EPG, which
can give you a quick look at what's on several channels at once and
allows you to switch channels directly.
