That's two completely separate concepts. Sometimes they'll share
similar or even the same content. But sometimes they are completely
different. Think of one as "what comes down from the guide" and the
other as "what refers to the correct episode on tvdb".

Some guides/stations/series refer to the seasons by a number starting
at 1, some use the year that the season started in, yet other refer to
them by a name as if it was totally different series.

At TheTVDB you'll only find seasons starting at 1 (and some that have
been entered wrong)

PS: To make matters worse the episode numbering differs by country for
many series.
