Yes I think that's it :)

Many EIT implementations are pretty screwed. That's why there are many
programs floating about to manipulate EIT data to a decent xmltv feed.

Speak to your TV provider, likely they will (a) not know what TF you are
talking about (b) not give a *.

Remember they are catering to people who are channel surfing and simply
want to know what is on next. They are not catering to people who want to
record TV and *gasp* skip the commercials!
