Do you have a windows machine you can use? If so download the 1.5.7.0
driver from: http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_hdpvr.html
which will load a firmware version onto the hdpvr which might play
nicer with your install.

Just applied the firmware update, and same result as before.
I should maybe add that I'm using an older version of FC12: 2.6.32.23-170 (64 bit) because when I tried to update it a few months back it wasn't supporting nvidia properly. Don't know if that could be a factor with the newer HDPVR box...
