[mythtv-users] CBS Sucks!

There is only one other broadcast network in the US which carries NFL
games in the 4pm Eastern time slot: FOX. Taking a quick look at my
listings for this coming Sunday, I see that the 4pm game is scheduled
to run from 4pm to 7:30pm. After that there is a 30-minute "To Be
Announced" program before regular prime time programming begins at
8pm. That allows a full hour of throwaway time before the prime time
lineup is disrupted.

As others have mentioned before, "60 Minutes" always airs at 7pm
Eastern on the East coast, and it has since 1975 (1). The fact that
this program is a firmly-established institution for so long means
that the network would be very unlikely to change its Sunday lineup to
mirror Fox's.

Also remember that Multirec would allow padding each program which
follows the game by an hour without requiring an extra tuner. Each
show could be viewed in its entirety without concatenation as long as
you allowed enough extra time. Conflicts, of course, would arise when
you wish to use that one tuner for another program which starts before
the padded end of your last CBS program.
