Hi Agelatos,
I am aware of the VDPAU feature set for the 520.  However, this only
refers to its capabilities for decoding compressed videos (for
example, xvid, h264, mpeg2, etc).  The deinterlacing in VDPAU is done
by the programmable shaders on the video card, and the amount of
processing power for the video card is directly related to the quality
of deinterlacing.  For example, the nvidia G210 is unable to use the
advanced 2x deinterlacing on HD content, but the GT220 is.  Note that
even though your GT240 is a older than the GT520, it has more
processing power.  The wiki does a decent job explaining this, and

Any GT520 users willing to post their experience, or are the frontends
still being built? :)
