[mythtv-users] Playback problem -- random short pauses

Just to add another data point, I am also seeing this issue on my combined
BE/FE system since upgrading from 0.23 to 0.24+fixes. I haven't changed any
hardware when I did the upgrade but the kernel and libraries may have been
updated (I don't recall). I'm using an ATI video card so NVIDIA drivers
would not be a factor.
As with other people seeing the issue there is a burst of disk activity at
the time the playback pauses or stutters. Sometimes if I am watching a
recording with DD 2.0 audio my amplifier briefly switches to PCM and back
again as if the sound feed dropped out momentarily. This sound dropout
sometimes occurs without the video pausing or stuttering at the same time.
