[mythtv-users] OT: DVB-T2 projects UK based

Like Glenn, I can report that the nanostick has been stable over the
past few days, making a dozen or so recordings, including a number of
simultaneous recordings across two channels and simultaneous,
overlapping recordings on the same channel, with both DVB-T1 and
DVB-T2.

I haven't noticed the audio problems others refers to, but I haven't
done much watching yet (the box has been running headless). I've just
bought a new HD television so now I've got a way to start watching.

My initial scanning problems were to do with broadcast signal
strength. With the supplied wire antenna the DVB-T1 channels scanned
but not the HD multiplex (signal too weak?). When plugged into the
coax splitter from my roof aerial the HD channels were picked up but
the SD ones were lost. (signal too strong, I presume).

The coax splitter that I have provides a non-adjustable gain, which
has always produced too strong a signal for the analog aerial input to
my CRT TV, but was OK for my two PCI Nova-T cards, and is also OK for
the DVB tuner in my new TV. However, it is apparently too strong for
the nanostick T2 290e.

With the output from the coax splitter running through an attenuator,
the nanostick receives both DVB-T1 and DVB-T2 signals fine.
