[mythtv-users] MythVideo: Umlaut, special characters in filenames in storage groups - files invisible

Hello!

I have Video files (.nuv) that contain umlaut characters like äüö in
their filenames. That used to be ok but now that I moved to storage
groups mythvideo doesn't show the anymore. I have searched the list
and I found this thread from 2010
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/dev/438440 but the
solution with

export LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8 , in my case export LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF8  does not work.

After some testing I can confirm that this is a problem only with
storage groups!
If I set another folder with the same files in the frontend
configuration I get a second video entry that shows me the Umlaut
files with no problems.

So I would like to ask if there is any new information about this?
Any way I could solve this, other than getting rid of storage groups again?

My system:
Mythbuntu 0.23
