You want to match whatever is broadcast if you are capturing video, if you are encoding then 720p50 or 720p25 is much easier on the player.

For myth output you need to match the recording or match the display, there days that usually means 1080p50 and get myth to de-interlace.

You asked which was best... not which was best for task X ;-)
