Steve

It sounds like you're using XVideo (or perhaps XvMC) for your video
output. The 8200 is VDPAU capable which will not only give you
hardware video decoding but also a 'fullscreen' OSD (i.e. 1080).
Alternatively you could try the OpenGL renderer.
