Thanks for the tip!  Since I was already at 10.6.7, I gave these kexts
a try, and it pretty much fixed the issue for my 2009 NVIDIA mini and
720p playback.  There is some jerkiness that lasts for ~5 seconds, but
after that, playback is smooth.
Seems strange that Apple would release a fix for the NVIDIA drivers,
but only for the MacBookPro...
