Thanks for the link, Ken. The G refers to the "Master Guide Table",
which appears to be part of the PSIP metadata for the channel.
CFTO-DT appears to have a history with messed up PSIP over the years:

But that doesn't explain what could be causing MythTV to fail to tune
it, while the HDHomeRun config tool can tune it just fine. Perhaps
there's something residual in my frequency table that re-scanning the
transport didn't clean up? I'll try deleting the transport entirely and
re-scan again.
