[mythtv-users] Do you build mythtv from source, and why?

Well the subject asks if you build from source. It doesn't ask if you 
use a package. Those of us that use a package are not going to have 
anything worthwhile to contribute to this thread.

I use Mythbuntu simply because I'm behind in my linux studies and do not 
know how to build from source. I haven't learned because I haven't 
needed to. The Mythbuntu folks have taken care of that for me. Thanks to 
them!
