[mythtv-users] static sound when forwarding while watching recorded programs

Are these NUV files (from frame grabbers using software encoding or from 
transcoding MPEG recordings) rather than MPEG files?  I kind of remember 
mention of similar behavior a while (year+) ago that seemed to only 
affect NUV, but I don't have time to search the archives, now.
