Hello,

I have 0.24-fixes running nice with a few DVB-T tuners and a single
DVB-S (KWorld DVB-S 100) tuner on 19.2E.

I would like to get the BBC HD channels on 28.2E.

I am in Scotland, so adding offset LNB and a Diseqc switch on an 85cm
dish is probably not the best solution.

I have cabling constraints too, so I cannot add a second tuner.

I am planning on buying and installing a dish motor, driven by Diseqc
1.3 / USALS.

My googling reported good things about MythTV and Diseqc/USALS driving
of the motor, but not much about the DVB-S 100 card.

Is there something I missed? Any comments/hints/tips before I go buy and
install that motor?

Thanks!

Nico

According to this footprint map you only need a 50 cm dish to receive Astra 2D even in Scotland:

Not sure which channels you receive from 19.2E but according to this footprint map the signals from Astra 2D should be stronger than from 19.2E:

Depending on your dish you can either side mount one LNB that will the give a weaker signal than the one on the arm, or you can offset mount both LNBs which will give slightly weaker signal on both LNBs but less degradation than on a side mounted one.

There are also multifocal dishes available like the Wavefontier T90, claimed to cover e.g. 1W to 28.2E.
