Hi,

I recently upgraded to 2.6.35.11-83.fc14.i686 from 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.i686. I am using a Hauppage PVR250 for a remote.

The PVR250 TV tuner works, but when I run /sbin/modprobe lirc_i2c, it says the lirc_i2c module is not found. Reverting back to 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.i686 works fine loading the lirc_i2c module. I don't think I am installing any kernal modules for the PVR250 separately.

My modprobe is:
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
install lirc_i2c /sbin/modprobe ivtv; /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install lirc_i2c

Under 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.i686 (the kernel it works under), this is in the log, which is interesting:

[ 69.451796] lirc_i2c: module is from the staging directory, the quality is unknown, you have been warned.
[ 69.453020] lirc_i2c: chip 0x0 found @ 0x18 (Hauppauge IR)
[ 69.453286] i2c ir driver 2-0018: lirc_dev: driver lirc_i2c registered at minor = 0

Anyways, I am thankful kernal rollback is so easy in Linux. If anybody else has any ideas to fix on the newer kernel, it would be appreciated.

Regards
