First, if you don't have a cablecard installed, it functions as a
standard QAM tuner (the same way a HDHR Prime functions like a regular
HDHR without a cablecard). Second, even if you do have a cablecard
installed, you still need to query the card for the list of channels,
and then insert all the necessary records into myth's database. But in
order to do it all properly (whether you have a cablecard or not), you
would need to tie into myth's channel scanner system.
