Pretty much any modern SSD will outlast the fans in your system,
and when the fans die, so will your CPU, mechanical drives, and PSU.
The SSD on the other hand, will likely still be fine for another
5-10 years after that catastrophe.
People get far too hung up on "but SSDs wear out quickly".
They don't. Especially not in a Mythtv box. Not nearly enough
write loading there to wear one out in under 10 years of service.
Even when used to hold recordings as well as the system,
though they do tend to be a bit small for most recording requirements.
