[mythtv-users] Tapping/monitoring devinput events

Hello,

I'm using lircd with devinput to control Myth. I would like to extend my 
home-grown shutdown monitor script to keep the system idle as long as 
there are still commands coming in from the remote control.

I looked that the System Events bits in the configuration, but was not 
able to create a script which would be called upon input events.

How could I archieve this?
