Obviously you should do what makes you feel comfortable, but for
reference the bug is in libhdhomerun, which is used by both us and by
SiliconDust's tools. They will both cause failure of second
recordings and possible corruption when defined by IP. This bug is
present in the most recent copy of SiliconDust's libhdhomerun and goes
back at least 15 months.
I expect that the fix should be applied in their code sometime soon,
I'm chatting with one of their engineers now.
