Oh ok! Interesting! I still might stick with 1080i50, to get vdpau's
deinterlacing on playback, rather than yadif that I use when
transcoding. I haven't dared try mcdeing yet, because my
transcodes are already slow as hell.

I don't know. Some people do seem to genuinely like it, unless they've
just taken on the read opinion of some "expert". I'd have higher frame
rate for everything if I had the choice.
