I wasn't expecting it to work, so I am not sure exactly what fixed the
problem. But I can now record BBC One HD from Myth

My main worrying error was " Warning: Unsupported fec_inner parameter"
I am still getting this.

What I have done today:

Compiled from source v4l-dvb update from SVN, but not installed
Downloaded kernel source 2.6.39.1, compiled, compiled modules, installed
modules, installed kernel, rebooted, installed kernel_headers
Alsa is stuffed at this point.
Using the updated kernel headers, I compiled w_scan, and scan-s2. Both of
these can see DVB-S2 channels/muxes. Mythtv /cannot/ see or lock to the mux
on transport ID 2050. From this point on, I have the following settings
entered manually, and they have not been changed:

----------+----------------+---------+---------------+-----------+----------

This machine is SBE and FE, so tried to modprobe nvidia module, not
compatible with this kernel, so updated to latest 270.
Rebooted to 2.6.27- as alsa is stuffed on 2.6.39.1 (at least for myth it is,
all other programs seem to be OK)

Thought I would take a punt, and recompiled my SVN backup checkout, to
secondary directory (I use encap so can run versions in parallel). Compile
fails on VDPAU, so 'jimmy' in correct vdpau headers (nvidia installer
helpfully uninstalled them). I have a 'script' which performs the
compilation, so I know the same configure commands were used.
Install the same version SVN-Revision of myth, and now I can record BBC One
HD.

So, from my actions, I cannot see anything which should have made any
difference. Go figure.
Maybe the above will help to trigger some thought for someone though.
