I've got something like this setup for myself. It scans all the
channels on the HDHomerun, compares the results to myth's
configuration and emails me any changes. I also have it doing some
updates of the myth channels automatically (it can modify an existing
channel, but won't add a new channel). I've thought about cleaning
this up a bit and making it available for other to use. I just haven't
gotten around to it yet.
