[mythtv-users] clearqam channel scanning in master?

Has anything been done in master to ease the task of scanning for
clearqam channels?  In 0.24-fixes it's quite the rigmarole having to
(which to) scan for amongst HRC, IRC, 256, 64,  etc., etc.  It really
ought to be a easy as it is with my TV.

On this topic, has anything been done to track cableco clearqam channel
reassignments?  I'm thinking of say a nightly scan which reports on
differences in the channel mapping since the previous scan.
