I got the calipers out. The Ceton card is 1.37mm. The graphics card in the X16 slot next to it is 1.51mm. Some random old modem board I had collecting dust in a bin is 1.49mm. I didn't do an extensive measure all around each card or measure the conductor tangs vs. measuring the top edges - I measured the top edges on all 3 because it was easier than pulling out the two cards I measured that are in use and disconnecting their respective cables. But I imagine that the thickness is pretty consistent throughout the card.

So while I agree with Ron that the variation in computer cabinets shows poor tolerances (and my BE that the Ceton is going in is a factory Dell with the original mobo factory installed), I agree with Mike that Ceton should probably work with their supplier(s) to get a more standard card thickness - 0.1mm is certainly a lot when it comes to card thickness. And as inaccurate as my measurements are, they are good enough to indicate that the Ceton is thinner than the other two cards I checked.

Ken.
