I think I have plenty. Looking at the logs I have about 500 in the first 10
minutes of the recording. There seems to be no consistency to when they
happen. Sometimes the interval between errors is 2 seconds and sometimes 5
milliseconds

The STB is the only device on the firewire card.

Unfortunately, I only have one firewire card and one cable. I can try
wiggling the cable to see if there is something goofy in the terminations.
