> Well, the USB system sees the device, so the device isn't completely
broken. However, you should see messages recorded in the kernel log (shown
by dmesg) when you modprobe dvb-usb-diusb-mb. This could suggest that the
driver is not recognizing the device.

One other thing you can check. There's a file in /lib/modules/ directory
for the currently-running kernel and type in the following command:
grep 2235 modules.usbmap

On my system, there's a line of the output that begins with the following:
dvb-usb-dibusb-mb 0x0003 0x0547 0x2235

This indicates (I think) that the driver dvb-isb-dibusb-mb will recognize
your device. On my system, some of the older kernel versions have the
dvb-usb-dibusb-mb driver, but it doesn't have support for your particular
device. If you do not see output as I described, you don't have a new
enough version of the drivers installed. However, any relatively recent
linux distribution really should have this driver (I'm finding it in a 2
year old distribution). What distribution are you using?
If that line is in the modules.usbmap, then I'm out of ideas. I'm not
familiar with this driver.
Good luck,
-Greg
