Steven, I think you missed the part of Joseph's message which I quoted

I bet you only have one video source defined for both.

If you are using the same set of channels with the same SD line up... just
set them up as two different video sources in mythtv-setup using the same SD
lineup. Then in mythweb, you will see each channel twice, once for each
source you defined. Uncheck the "visable" box for those channels that
cannot be tuned on the device(s) using that source.

Clear as mud?

To clarify, I will use the scenario that you have two types of capture
device, an analog tuner and a cable box. The channels are the same up to
channel 69, but only the box will tune channels higher than that.

In mythtv-setup
1. Add the Sechedules Direct line up for your cable provider
2. Create two video sources, "cable" and "cablebox" for our example.
3. Associate each input with the appropriate video source. My PVR cards
used to have the tuner associated with cable, and the composite associated
with the cable box for example.

In mythweb after a mythfilldatabase
1. go to http://mythserver/mythweb/settings/tv/channels
2. determine which sourceid is associated with each video source (usually
the order they were created)
3. uncheck the "visible" box next to any channel you can't tune with the
"cable" source.
