>I have some problems with 0.24, i do use trunk when testing things. Recordings fail very often and also LiveTV with some jump to programfile error or something. But that is not my question this time, >because 0.23 works great and i use that instead.

>But this is a problem i have with both 0.23 and 0.24. And it is some kind of graphic problem. With 0.24 the problem is bigger since it happens when i get kicked out of LiveTV. With 0.23 not that big since >LiveTV works great and it only happends if i kill the frontend when watching LiveTV. I was thinking if supplying some screenshots using ImageMagick, but the problem there is that those screenshots look >perfect and the graphic bug is not there. So i will try to explain and i hope someone understands.

>What is happening is that i for exampel kill the frontend watching TV(easiest way to force it to happend), i use the VDPAU High Quality profile. The background image of my desktop gets some kind of >distorted picture of the last frame shown on LiveTV. If i then start the frontend again, all black parts of the background in the frontend also show this distorted image. On the main meny you only see it on >the edges, but on the Recordings screen it is in the whole background, and the same with the Setup screens. I use the Mythbuntu theme.
>If i start LiveTV i also see this distorted image on all black areas on the TV picture, making it very hard to watch LiveTV. The only solution is to reboot the computer. Dont know if this have something to do with VDPAU not clearing some buffers or something?

>If no one understands what i'm trying to explain i will see if i can get some picture of the TV with a digital camera.

I noticed the exact same issue some time back. Exactly as you describe, if MythTV is closed “ungracefully” while in the middle of displaying live TV or a recording, “remnants” of the video display litter the Desktop. When MythTV is re-launched, it’s almost like there are “holes” in the picture anywhere black would otherwise be displayed.
My “resolution” was to go back to the Nvidia 195 drivers. This issue is not present with these, only with the 260.X drivers.
