I've been waiting for a DVB-T2 card since March last year - I get my signal
from Crystal Palace so Freeview HD has been available here for some
months now.

This would form part of a complete upgrade however. Whilst the
motherboard of my current combined FE/BE can take PCI-E cards
neither my CPU or current video card are capable of decoding H.264 1080i
in real time - maxes out at 720p! The upgrade would involve putting
together a new dedicated FE for playback which I have been planning
for a while - the availability of DVB-T2 cards would simply give me the
incentive to finally do this!
