Thank you Shawn,

unfortunately vdpaubuffersize=30 did not help much, but it was nice to
narrow it down to the recording itself and not any video playback
spesific issue, especially since my frontend (Zotac ION2) doesn't have
the cpu power for non-vdpau playback.
