I'm a bit confused here. lirc_zilog has to be manually loaded, so I'm not
sure how it would have been loading before the pcHDTV HD-3000's driver.
Actually, I'm not sure *what* the HD-3000's driver is... Can you pastebin
full dmesg output after a fresh boot for me to peek at?

That *should* work.

There are ways. But they're easier to explain if I know what it is that
is loading up on the HD-3000. And if you let me know how you're loading
up lirc_zilog right now.
