I have a Sparkle 8400 gs pci card. I've not tried it with a 0.24 build of mythtv but it was working fine with 0.23 on mythbuntu. 

I thought the one I have had 512 mb ram, but the link below says 256mb. I got the fanless one - the heat sink is massive and blocks the adjacent pci slot, but it plays back BBC hd flawlessly.

I bought mine a few years ago now, whether you can still find one to buy is a different question.
