[mythtv-users] HD-PVR missing SPDIF audio

Has anyone found a solution for the HD-PVR missing SPDIF audio problem?

At various intervals, mythtv starts recording and I end up with a 
datastream that has video but no audio.

Its been like this for more than a year. I recently upgraded to 
0.24-fixes from 0.23 hoping it might make a difference, but it still 
happens quite frequently (perhaps every day or two).

Just today a program recorded at 3:00PM with no audio. I simply deleted 
the recording at 3:30 when I verified no audio. At 4:00PM on the same 
tuner/channel, audio worked. This was even without a reset/reboot.
