What's your environment?

I ran into similar audio distortion on my trusty old PVR-500 the
other day -- the afternoon (US/Eastern time) of Jan 26. My BE is
an x86_64 Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server running Ubuntu's MythTV package.
I did install a bunch of updates that afternoon and reboot, but
the problems started before I installed the updates (I just double-
checked my sudo logs). I chalked my bad audio up to an old card
finally going bad, and have reverted to a PVR-350 that I still had
lying around (which sounds fine).

But now you have me wondering...

FWIW, the video on the PVR-500 seems fine (still better than the 350).
I have only tested the analog/NTSC of the 500, not the alternate inputs.
Oh, and I don't have a Windows system in which to test my 500.

I even moved it to a different slot on the motherboard, with no results. I also deleted them in myth-setup and re-added them, still nothing. Channel change script is changing channels correctly, but no matter what sound is terribly distorted. I also switched the card with another one...Any help would be awesome...
