Hi Guys,

I started getting problems locking DVB-S channels recently as well on my
TechnoTrend TT-budget S2-3200 card. I did some googling and found that
there is a patch for the v4l DVB drivers, I compiled the drivers with the
patch, you might also need the DVB mutex patch for newer kernels when
using DVBLOOPBACK (needs applying to the v4l source) -

Information - http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TechnoTrend_TT-budget_S2-3200
Patch - http://patchwork.linuxtv.org/patch/8041/
DVB Mutex patch - http://svanstrom.nu/2011/08/dvbloopback-in-linux-2-6-38/

After applying the patched code I can now lock onto DVB-S transponders
reliably and it is also pretty quick !

Cheer

Dave
