Andrew, this is the problem I had with my PVR-250. I was told
developers do not use such an old hardware, thus the problem is unlikely
to be fixed. So I tossed my good old PVR-250 and replaced it with new
shiny 2250. Guess what, analog 2250 does not work at all (with 0.25).
With 250 I was at least able to watch liveTV, switching channels with
ivtv-tune utility.
I've upgraded to 0.25 at least five times and every time dropped back
to 0.24.
The future seems pretty dark right now, I do not think our voice is
heard. There was a bug filed but it did not catch any attention. Once
0.24 expires I'm thinking about trying out VDR.
