[mythtv-users] Still confused about recording groups

Hi everybody,

I mailed about this a while back, but things still seem to be acting funny. I
have two backends. The master has a single tuner and the slave has 2 tuners.
Everything is running 0.24.1 fixes from the debian-multimedia.org archives.

I have 2 nfs shares (/mnt/store/ and /mnt/store2/) on the master backend where
all of the recordings are supposed to reside. On the master backend, I have
the default storage group set, with these two nfs dirs entered. I have NO
storage groups set on the slave.

However, when I check the Machine Status on a frontend, I see three MythTV
drives listed. The two above and slave:/var/lib/mythtv. There are a few
recordings sitting in that directory as well. I can't find any place in
mythtv-setup that mentions this directory, and I'd really like to not use it.
Is this some cruft in the database? Do I need to do some manual database
editing to fix the problem?

I want to be able to shut the slave down when it is not needed, but I can't if
there are recordings hiding on its hard drive.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks,

Mark
