As I already noted, some of my recording rules are set to only record
new episodes.  New in this context means never been shown before as
determined by the originalairdate field.  Once those episdes are
recorded, I know my rules will never match them again, so there is no
point in keeping a historical record of it.  As I also noted before,
getting rid of those useless entries in oldrecorded keeps the
scheduler from having to recheck them all the time and gradually
slowing down over time.
