Yes, yes.

That's the beauty of using a script - you can rescan etc, then just
fire up the script and you have all your channels as you like them.
You need to keep updating the script as they keep p***ing about with
channels and channel names - but it's still easier that doing it all
from scratch.

There are several existing pages on the Wiki, so there's probably
some scope for tidying and/or cross linking.

There's a script I wrote at http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Database_editing_script

There is a link from there to
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/UK_Channel_Assignments which does
something similar-but-different

And while looking for those, I came across
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Channel_Sorting_by_Script which goes about
things in a different way.

I think the problem is that these pages aren't necessarily easy to
find, so someone creates a new page, and so the permutations
multiply. IIRC I cross linked between the first two pages when I
found the duplication to try and address this in a small way.

So I'd suggest adding your script to one of those pages if it seems
appropriate, or add another page and cross-link them so that people
can easily find the different suggestions.
