Very true - here in the US, the 2 are so competitive that every time I
have a complaint, directv gives me pay channels free for a number of
months.  (I have been a LONG time directv subscriber though)..  Their
buggy DVRs keep me with free hbo and showtime though, so I cannot
complain too much  :)
