I've bought a few of these when newegg has them on sale for <$20. I
run mythbuntu and they work perfect out of the box when you set the
mythbuntu lirc tool to use a Windows MCE remote. It also comes with a
very small transmitter with a very long usb cable so you can "hide it"
a good distance from your mythbox. I've been very happy with them.
