[mythtv-users] Atom diamondview + ION vs pineview + ION2 for combined fanless front/backend

Hi there,

It's time to go HD so that means retiring my current VIA C3 800Mhz
combined FE/BE.

I'm looking at the atom platform as the obvious replacement, but not
sure whether to go for the latest and greatest or save a bit of pocket
money and go for the original generation.

As far as i can see the newer 'pineview' Atoms have the same CPU as
the original generation. The pineview is all about reduced power draw
due to integrated graphics, but the graphics are not 1080p capable (
not over HDMI at least ).  So you have to get a board with
non-integrated nvidia graphics anyway.

Does the ION2 have anything of note for a HTPC that is missing in the ION1?
