I know that of course; I am pretty much in desperation mode. The problem
is that when I do scan, it doesn't find anything. The Terrestrial vsb
scan finds nothing at all, and the QAM scan finds only encrypted
channels. For the latter, it's not impossible that Comcast is hosing me
(which would be a very recent change; since the big changeover to all
digital, I have been able to find at least the OTA and PEG channels in
the clear).
I am sure that I am doing the right type of scan for the right tuner; I
have tried it several times to be sure.

I have done this. It doesn't help, I still cannot find any channels.
Embarassingly, some of my problems were due to the fact that I was
confused by the Metallurgy theme. It seems that the highlighted choice
is closer to the background color than the non-highlighted choice, so I
was selecting "No, don't" when I thought I was selecting yes, do. So I
can now delete things properly through the setup screens. But even
following the above process, completely deleting all video sources and
capture cards and starting over completely from scratch, the HDHomerun
tuners still do not work. Myth fails to find any channels, whereas using
"hdhomerun_config scan" does. Back to the drawing board.
