[mythtv-users] Downgrading 0.24 to 0.23.1 and want to avoid losing the few recordings since the upgrade

As well as burning a disc that can be played by a DVD player,
MythArchive has the option ("Create Archive") to copy the recordings and
the metadata (as XML) to a data DVD that can then be imported into
another MythTV system.

I've never used it myself and I've no idea if there is anything that
would prevent an older version accepting an export from a newer version.
But if nobody else has a better suggestion then maybe you could use this
as the last resort - if it doesn't work then you just copy the
recordings off the DVD manually, dump them in MythVideo and hope that
thetvdb.com has metadata to be grabbed.
