Now that the issue with AC3 stereo always being decoded by Myth is
resolved, I've found what could be considered a bug or could be
considered intended behaviour with the new sound subsystem in 0.24,
depending on your point of view.
If I have LPCM unselected and DD selected and speakers configuration set
to "Stereo", 2 channel (i.e. only stereo) DD is not passed through to
the receiver to be decoded by it's AC3 decoder. I can't think of a
technical reason why this should not happen.
If I change the speakers configuration to 5.1, the same 2ch DD is passed
through to the receiver to be decoded by it's AC3 decoder.
Thots?
