I run Ubuntu, currently 10.04.

I did not have this problem with 0.23-fixes. With 0.23-fixes the
HDHomeRun was using a firmware image from February 2010 but I upgraded
this weekend, while trying to track down the problem, to the latest
stable firmware from Sillicon Dust (20100828). Needless to say, a
firmware upgrade made no difference; the problem still continued.
