I've been having a problem with the mute working as nothing happens
when I hit the mute button. I checked the log file and it says mute
has been activated. I'm running my audio through ladspa to normalize
the volume so I'm not sure if this is causing an issue. It was working
before but it went bad maybe around the time I bought a new
motherboard. I'm using analog audio off the MB.

cat /proc/asound/cards
